FRANKFORT,Ky.—KentuckyGov.AndyBeshearformallyendorsedVicePresidentKamalaHarrisforpresidentonMonday,confirmingonMSNBC’s“MorningJoe”thathespokewithHarrisoverthephoneashe’sreportedlyonashortlistofpotentialrunningmates.
“Thevicepresidentreachedouttomeyesterday,justacoupleofhoursafterthepresidentputoutthenews,”Beshearsaid.
BeshearsaidHarrisaskedforhisendorsement,towhichheagreedandsaidhewoulddoeverythinghecouldtohelphergetelectedifshegetsthenomination.
