ALBANY,Ky.(LEX18)—InClintonCounty,aformermanageratBluegrassStockyardsinAlbanyfacescriminalchargesbecausepolicesayheandawomanstolemorethan$500,000fromthecompany. Policearrested48-year-oldBretCarver,aformerAlbanyBluegrassStockyardmanager,and38-year-oldBrittanyParmleyGerkeyonMarch12,2025,forallegedlyembezzlingmoneyfromthebusiness. Accordingtoanindictment,CarverandGerkeyarechargedwiththeftandunlawfulaccesstoacomputer.Detectivessaytheduotook$554,780fromtheBluegrassStockyardsinAlbanyfromFebruary2022toMay2024.
