Kentucky Man Sentenced to Five Years in Prison on Felony Conspiracy Charge for Actions During January 6 Capitol Breach

Dan Edwin Wilson of Kentucky was sentenced to five years in prison for a felony conspiracy charge from his conduct during the breach of the U.S. Capitol.

            WASHINGTON – A Kentucky man was sentenced to five years in prison today after he previously pleaded guilty to a felony conspiracy charge stemming from his conduct during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.

            Dan Edwin Wilson, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, was sentenced to five years – or 60 months – imprisonment, 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution by U.S. District Judge Dabney L. Friedrich.
