Dive teams looking for boater who disappeared in Hardin County river

He disappeared early Wednesday morning.

Several search and rescue teams are looking for a Kentucky man last seen more than a day ago on a river in Hardin County.According to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, police got a call about a man who disappeared near the Ohio River-Salt River confluence around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday. That’s not far from the West Point Boat Ramp.Kentucky State Police were told by two other people on the boat that Derik Walker, 46, of Ekron, jumped in the water as they were fixing wiring on a flood light.They said they heard a splash, saw him come up a couple of times, then disappeared.As of 3 p.m. Thursday, officials said they were still actively searching for Walker with help from LMPD dive teams and rescue teams from Jefferson and Hardin counties.
