It may not have started very well with all the scattered storms and lightning issues for outdoor activities on Saturday but the long holiday weekend wrapped up in style on Monday across Central and Eastern Kentucky. With a frontal boundary well to our south and cool high pressure to the north pushing in dry and pleasant air on the heels of a breezy northeast wind, conditions were about perfect for Labor Day to be out and about with lots of sunshine and comfortable highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. This overall quiet pattern will continue in the coming days with no big heat and humidity to speak of.
