1,133-pound pumpkin, 233-pound watermelon tip scales as State Fair winners Kentucky Today

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – Kentucky’s 2024 Largest Watermelon and Pumpkin Contest concluded Saturday afternoon at the Kentucky State Fair.
Dwight Slone of Floyd County had the largest pumpkin with a ginormous gourd weighing in at 1,113 pounds.
Frank Mudd of Meade County was first in the largest watermelon competition with a melon that weighed 233.2 pounds.
