UKPattersonSchoolofDiplomacyandInternationalCommerceSeniorLecturerRobertFarleysaidthere’sreallymorethanonewarintheMiddleEast.InadditiontoHamas,FarleynotedIsraelis,quote,“sortofatwar”withHezbollah,theIranians,andHouthisinYemen.AndHeaddeditishardtoseeanendtotheIsraeli-Hamasterroristgroupfightingrightnow.
“It’sstillprettytoughtoseeanendtothewarbetweenIsraelandHamas.Andthereasonforthatiswedon’thaveareallygoodunderstandingofhowmuchofHamasisleft,”saidFarley.
Farleyisnotoptimisticaboutacease-fireoverthenextmonth,givingitnotmorethana10%likelihood.
AndwhileFarleysaidanendtotheconflictishardtopredict,evenwhenthefightingdoescometoanend,there’slikelytobeanuncleargovernancepicture.
“Wealsodon’thaveanygoodideaofwhattheMiddleEastwilllooklikeaftert
