Hiker recovering after rescue from Kentucky’s Red River Gorge 2 weeks after going missing WKRC TV Cincinnati

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) – An Ohio man is recovering after being rescued from Kentucky’s Red River Gorge two weeks after going missing.
The Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team posted an alert to Facebook, regarding a hiker who had gone missing in the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, a wilderness full of harsh terrain and steep cliffs.
Rescuers wrote that 48-year-old Scott A. Hern’s car had been found parked at the gorge since July 6. His family told rescuers they hadn’t seen him since July 5, adding that he had visited the area to look for waterfalls.
