Lastmonth’sSupremeCourtdecisiononacaseinvolvingthecityofGrantsPass,Oregon,heldthatpeopleexperiencinghomelessnesscanbearrestedforoutdoorcampingevenwhentheyhavenootheroptions.
Thefederaldecisiondoesn’trequirelocalgovernmentstoenforcebansonoutdoorcampingbutinKentucky,they’llhaveto.That’sduetotheSaferKentuckyAct,whichmakesstreetcampingaclassBmisdemeanoranda$250fineonrepeatoffenses.
