DatafromtheUS’NationalWeatherService,partofthe NationalOceanicandAtmosphericAdministration,revealedthatnearly13millionpeopleacrossIndiana,KentuckyandOhioareatanenhancedriskofsevereweathertoday.
TheWeatherServicesaidthatthepeoplelivingintheroughly60,000squaremileareamayexperiencehazardsincludingfrequentlightningandstrongwinds,aswellasanincreasedriskoftornadosandhailofatleasttwoinches.
Thestormsmayalsoproduceheavyenoughraintoleadtoflashfloods,withurbanareas,roads,smallstreamsandlowlyingareasbeingthemostvulnerabletothese.
Afurther16millionpeopleinpartsofIllinois,MichiganandTennesseearefacingaslightriskofsevereweathertoday.
