JamesPouncy,HolmesClassof1989,refereeJameswasavarsitylettermaninfootball,basketball,andbaseball,ararethree-sportstar.HegotintocoachingattheKentonCountyBoysClub.
HehasdevelopedandruntheNorthernKentuckyTarHeels/KentuckySelectyouthbasketballprogramteachingbasketballandlifeskillsfor30years.TheprogramhascollectedChristmasgiftsandfoodanddonatedtheseitemstotheWelcomeHouseandtheNorthernKentuckyHomelessShelter.
In2012JameswasnamedtheKentuckyAAUCoachoftheYear.HebeganofficiatingintheNinthRegionin2000andbecameacollegeofficialin2006.Hehasworked15regionaltournaments,10All“A”TournamentsandfourKHSAAbasketballstatefinals.In2011hewasnominatedforKentuckyStateOfficialoftheYear.
In2021hewasselectedtobetheNinthRegionbasketballassigner.HeworksfortheNCAAinDivisionsIIandIIIandNAIAcollegebasketball.Hisc
